SPECTACULAR THUNDERSTORMS - DECEMBER 8, 2000

Mid afternoon a storm complex formed in NE NSW, and before long an impressive cell developed on what appeared to be the SE end.

The next spectacular storm moved through the southern suburbs of Brisbane late in the afternoon, with a very impressive turbulent underside of the shelf cloud.

As we drove south again, an interesting feature was photographed on the leading edge of a cell (first picture), and then Jason Rainforest managed to capture an anvil crawler running through a rainbow!
